The Pilgrim’s Cabinet is a mini theatre stage/installation at the back of a camper van vehicle that it has been adapted to welcome one or two audience participants at a time to experience a personal pilgrimage. At the end of each performance, the participants are invited to leave a memory, a story, a word or object in the theatre with the intention that The Pilgrim’s project continues to grow and develop.
The nature of The Pilgrim’s project is an insight into our own journey as human beings and mirrors how we, as travellers, somehow share common values and thoughts in this adventure we call life. Emotions triggered by the performance are therefore precious energy that provides relevant meaning for further exploration. The Pilgrim’s Cabinet is the means by which the bond between the audience and this particular art expression is enhanced.
